The film Marionette, which was released in the UK last year, has received a creepy new trailer and a new title for its US launch.

The upcoming Marionette – which was once a Matt Damon project – ended up becoming something very different, eventually emerging last year as a small British horror entitled Repression. With the world being what it is, the film is only now receiving its US release, and what’s more, it has a new title and trailer to boot.

Now titled Marionette, the film begins in the wake of a tragedy: losing her husband in a seemingly random accident, child psychiatrist Marianne Winter starts life anew in Scotland. There, she begins treating a secretive 10-year-old who claims to control the future through his drawings. When his horrific sketches start coming true, Marianne begins an obsession that will derail her life and reality.

The film is set to release on demand in the US next month, but you can catch it on video on demand here already, if you haven’t seen it yet. With Halloween on the way, it could be certainly worth a look.
