Channing Tatum stars and directs Dog, opposite a Belgian Mallinois hound, in this upcoming buddy comedy road movie.

You have to give it to Channing Tatum: here’s an actor that likes to bite off more than he can chew. Not only has the broken the golden rule of entertainment (never work with children or animals,) but what’s more, as well as starring opposite a canine in the upcoming film Dog, he’s also decided to direct for the first time. And all of this after being away from the world of film for a couple of years. If nothing else, you have to admire his ambition.

Tatum has co-directed Dog with his producing partner Reid Carolin. In the buddy comedy road movie, he and his canine companion are both former Army Rangers paired, yep, you guessed it, against their will, for the road trip to end all road trips.

As the synopsis states, ‘In a 1984 Ford Bronco, the pair race down the Pacific Coast in hopes of making it to a fellow soldier’s funeral on time. On the way they will break a handful of laws, narrowly evade death, and earn a fighting chance of finding happiness.’

UK release details are a little unclear as of yet, but it looks like this will be arriving with us, via MGM, in February of 2022. Check out the trailer below.
