The upcoming movie Dual, in which Karen Gillan must battle a clone version of herself, could be hitting UK screens sooner than we’d expected.

Back in January, RLJE Films won the rights to the Dual, a dark thriller starring Karen Gillan and Aaron Paul which earned some positive reactions when it played at the Sundance Film Festival.

In the film, ‘Gillan plays a young woman who receives a terminal diagnosis and so opts for a cloning procedure to ease her loss on her friends and family. When she makes a sudden and miraculous recovery, her attempts to have her clone decommissioned fail and lead to a court-mandated duel to the death. Now she has one year to train her body and mind for the fight of her life.’

There are no concrete release plans for the UK yet, but our chums in the US are definitely getting a theatrical release on April 15th, so fingers crossed we get the same here too. Of course, that date isn’t too far away, so keep this one on your radar and we’ll let you know when we hear more. You can check out the trailer below.
