The trailer for Avatar: The Way Of Water is finally widely available after its exclusive cinema run – it shows off some breathtaking visuals.

After being shown at Disney’s CinemaCon presentation and running exclusively in cinemas alongside Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness, the trailer for Avatar: The Way Of Water has finally been released. James Cameron’s return to the world of Pandora is set to hit cinemas in December 2022, and it looks visually stunning.

The short teaser is mostly atmospheric and calming, not giving much away about the plot. It does show, though, that our lead characters Jake Sully (Sam Worthington) and Neytiri (Zoe Saldana) will return. The spotlight is mainly on the impressive landscape and creatures, with an emphasis on more aquatic life that we didn’t get to see in the first film. Which makes sense, considering the title.

Only one line of dialogue is spoken in the teaser, with Jake saying “wherever we go, this family is our fortress.”
