Trailer released for ensemble comedy, Tankhouse

Get your first glimpse of Tankhouse, as Christopher Lloyd leads the ensemble in this upcoming comedy.

Vertical Entertainment has launched the trailer for Tankhouse, an upcoming ensemble comedy that follows a new theatrical troupe trying to make their name in a new town. Noam Tomaschoff makes his feature directorial debut on the project which has been picked up for release by Vertical Entertainment, in the US at least.

We don’t as yet have any release details for the UK but we’d imagine it will make its debut here next month in line with its US release. 

Alongside Christopher Lloyd, Argo's Richard Kind, Tara Holt and Stephen Freidrich all feature. The trailer certainly looks fun and as the rivalry between the theatre groups in the film escalates, we’re looking forward to seeing more of the ‘immersive theatre attacks’ and ‘alleyway sing-offs’.

Synopsis first…

The film meets thespian couple Tucker Charlemagne (Friedrich) and Sandrene St. Jean (Holt) as they are kicked out of the avant-garde acting scene in New York by their long-time guruBuford Slezinger (Lloyd), forcing them to venture back to Sandrene’s hometown of Fargo, North Dakota to start a new theatre company and win a residency at the historic Fargo Theatre. Upon arrival, they discover that Fargo already has a theatre company led by Sandrene’s ruthless former drama teacher Mr. Mortensen (Kind)Through a whirlwind of immersive theatre attacks, alleyway sing-offs, sabotage, and TMI cast bonding, Tucker, Sandrene, and the Tankhouse will stop at nothing to win, setting up an epic showdown with Mr. Mortensen’s Red River Players.
