Australian thriller The Dry, starring the mighty Eric Bana, is set to release early in 2021 – and here’s the first trailer for the film.
Forget Scandi-noir, this looks like pure Aussie-noir, a contemporary murder thriller set in a small Australian town where the residents have been living with the woes of perennial drought for more than a decade.
When Bana’s character, Aaron Falk, a Federal Police Investigator, returns to the town after more than 20 years to attend the funeral of a childhood friend who seems to have been sucked into a fatal web of destructive violence, he finds himself slowly drawn deeper into the town’s madness and his own dark past.
The Dry is directed by Robert Connelly, based on the award-winning novel by Jane Harper.
