Impenetrable safes, overwhelming security and impossible odds – it’s all on offer in The Vault, and here’s the trailer to prove it.

Who doesn’t love a good heist movie? The trailer for The Vault, set to release in the US on March 26th, certainly has all of the necessary ingredients. There’s the legendary vault that is deemed uncrackable, a ragtag group of elite criminals, all with various skills. Oh, and at least one wig.

Freddie Highmore of Bates Motel leads an ensemble cast including Famke Janssen, Control's Sam Riley, Liam Cunningham of Game Of Thrones and Astrid Berges-Frisbey.

The plot is described as such: When an engineer learns of a mysterious, impenetrable fortress hidden under The Bank of Spain, he joins a crew of master thieves who plan to steal the legendary lost treasure locked inside while the whole country is distracted by Spain’s World Cup Final. With thousands of soccer fans cheering in the streets, and security forces closing in, the crew have just minutes to pull off the score of a lifetime.

The Vault is directed by Jaume Balagueró, who is probably best known for writing and directing 2011’s REC.

No UK release date has been set of yet, but we’ll let you know when we hear one. Here’s the trailer in the meantime…
