Joyride sees an unexpected bond forming after a taxi is hijacked – and Olivia Colman headlines the movie: here’s the trailer.

The first trailer has been released for Olivia Colman’s latest starring vehicle, a movie by the name of Joyride.

The plot follows Colman’s Joy, as she races to get to an important meeting, her baby in tow. However, en route her taxi is hijacked by 12 year old Mully, flush with cash and fleeing from his father. After this inauspicious start, a bond begins to form between the two.

Charlie Reid makes his film debut as Mully. Emer Reynolds, who scored a hit on the festival circuit over the last few years with Phil Lynott documentary Songs For While I’m Away, directs from a screenplay by Ailbhe Keogan.

Joyride will be released in the UK and Ireland on 29th July. Watch the trailer below…
