There’s still some uncertainty as to which cinemas in the UK are open and which aren’t: here’s our list of all the ones we know of whose doors are open.

It was all the way back in March when UK cinemas shut their doors in response to the spread coronavirus. Since then, major summer releases and smaller films alike have delayed their cinema runs or simply headed straight for video on demand or streaming services. As we enter August though, the picture is beginning to look cautiously optimistic as more and more cinemas are reopening. We’ve compiled a list below of cinemas that have confirmed that they are currently open for business. If you are a cinema reopening and want us to add you to this list, please let us know here. With the UK’s staggered entrance out of lockdown, Wales and Scotland are slightly behind openings in England and Northern Ireland, although some Scottish independent cinemas are slating dates later in August or September to reopen. Multiplexes though, are already open in some of these areas.
