Two action movies are up for preorder on the Ultra HD 4K Blu-ray format in the UK.
Whilst some studios are hardly going overboard with the Ultra HD 4K Blu-ray format, there’s little faulting the commitment of StudioCanal to it. It’s recently given us catalogue release of Angel Heart and Lock Up on the format over the past month or two. And it’s got a couple of 80s and 90s treats lined up before Christmas.
Universal Soldier – the original one! – has just gone up for preorder at all the usual places, with a release date of 4th November 2019. It’ll follow the unusual teaming of Arnold Schwarzenegger and James Belushi in Red Heat, that’s already set for release on 21st October.
We don’t have details as of yet of extra features on either movie. But the very fact that each is getting a 4K remaster, yet alone an Ultra HD 4K Blu-ray physical release, is something in itself.
