The British film To Olivia was released in the UK last year via Sky Cinema but is now heading for a Stateside release.

The US rights to the biopic To Olivia have been picked up by Vertical Entertainment, meaning the British film which was released here in the UK on Sky Cinema earlier last year will now make its way to American audiences.

Director John Hay’s drama is based on the true lives of legendary novelist Roald Dahl and his movie star wife, Patricia Neal. The film earned good, if not great, reviews upon its launch in the UK around a year ago, dramatising the lives of Dahl and Neal which were tragically turned upside down after their young daughter, Olivia, died in the 1960s of the measles virus.

Vertical is reportedly releasing the film on April 15, 2022 in the US with a day and date strategy to give it the best possible shot at finding an audience. Based on Patricia Neal: An Unquiet Life, penned by Stephen Michael Shearer, To Olivia stars Hugh Bonneville as Dahl, Keeley Hawes as Neal and Geoffrey Palmer in his final screen role.

In the UK you can find it on Sky Cinema right now.
