Heading our way this summer is a new action thriller by the name of The Big Ugly. It’s a movie that stars Vinnie Jones, alongside Ron Perlman and Malcolm McDowell. What’s more, it’s been written and directed by Scott Wiper, who produces the movie as well.
The UK rights for the film have now been snapped up by Vertical Entertainment, in a deal that will see the film in theory land in UK cinemas on July 24th. The film will be available via video on demand services on the same day.
The synopsis for the film reads as follows…
Anglo-American relations go bad when London mob bosses invest in a West Virginia oil deal in hopes of laundering dirty money.
Jones, in a chat with Deadline, has revealed that the film is dedicated to his late wife, Tanya, who is says was the “staunch supporter” on the movie.
