Judas And The Black Messiah, The Little Things and Locked Down finally get their UK releases this coming Thursday – details here.

With drive-in cinemas in the UK not opening until April and ones you can actually sit in closed until mid-May, Warner Bros has confirmed that three of its high-ish profile releases are heading to premium video on demand this week instead of waiting any longer.

The highest-profile and most acclaimed is Judas And The Black Messiah, from director Shaka King. Daniel Kaluuya and LaKeith Stanfield headline this one, the story of an FBI informant infiltrating the Illinois Black Panther Party.

Then there’s The Little Things, starring Denzel Washington, Rami Malek and Jared Leto. This is a 90s-set thriller, with Washington’s deputy sheriff returning to his old Los Angeles stomping ground to help Malek’s investigator track down a killer. A film boasting three Oscar winners for their acting, two of whom are on good form here.

Finally there’s Locked Down, starring Chiwetel Ejiofor and Anne Hathaway. Conceived and written by Steven Knight, then shot by director Doug Liman entirely during, well, lockdown, it’s a story of a couple in, er, lockdown, who are splitting up. But also tempted to take on a heist at Harrod’s.

All three of these films are being released on Thursday March 11th in the UK via premium video on demand services. We don’t have pricing at the moment. More as we hear it.
