Warner Brothers UK has released a poster and trailer for Malignant, a new horror story from James Wan.
Modern horror maestro James Wan is back with another original film, Malignant. The screenplay is written by Akela Cooper from Wan’s story alongside Ingrid Bisu, with Wan helming in the director’s chair.
It sees the past coming to haunt young woman Madison (Annabelle Wallis), as she begins to see visions of real murders as they are happening and traces it back to a dark secret from her past. Wan has a history of success in the horror genre, helming the start of the Saw, Insidious and The Conjuring franchises. His most recent directorial work was with 2018’s epic underwater adventure Aquaman and whilst he is still attached to direct the sequel, it seems he has dipped back in to his horror well for Malignant.

Malignant will release in UK cinemas on the 8th September 2021.
