Rachel McAdams, Isla Fisher, Vince Vaughn and Owen Wilson are all set to return for the sequel to Wedding Crashers.
For some time, there was talk of a sequel to the 2005 comedy hit Wedding Crashers. The film starred Vince Vaughn, Rachel McAdams, Isla Fisher and Owen Wilson, with David Dobkin directing. It made the best part of $300m at the global box office, at a time that was regarded as a lot of money. It still is to me.
For the decade and change since there’s been a constant rumour mill of a sequel to the film, and the question of Wedding Crashers 2 keeps coming up. However, it looks like it’s happening, with Warner Bros’ streaming service HBO Max the catalyst behind the film getting the green light.
Production Weekly is listing the movie as preparing to film over the summer. What’s more, Vaughn, McAdams, Fisher and Wilson are all expected to return, along with David Dobkin behind the camera.
This all seems to point towards a release in 2022, and as we get further details on the movie, we’ll let you know. For now, we just know that it finally seems to be happening…
