Will Forte will line up opposite Wile E Coyote in the planned live action/animation hybrid Coyote Vs Acme, joining the already-announced John Cena.

More details have emerged regarding the planned big screen Wile E. Coyote movie, which looks set to emulate Who Framed Roger Rabbit in bringing a host of beloved animated characters to the screen alongside live action actors. Whilst John Cena has already been announced as being involved with the project, Will Forte has also now been revealed as featuring too.

Forte has excellent comic chops, whether he’s leading his own comedy series like The Last Man In The World or playing small but memorable roles in films such as Booksmart. The thought of him, John Cena and Wile E. Coyote sharing the screen has us intrigued, and we’re keen to see how this one plays out.

The film is said to follow Coyote rather than his nemesis, Road Runner, with the synopsis reading as such: ‘The furry and four-legged Coyote takes centre stage in the story, which sees him sue the Acme Corporation for the not-quite-in-working-order devices he has received from them over the years in his quest to best his potential meal, the Road Runner, as seen in the classic cartoons.’

Forte is set to play ‘a down-on-his-luck (human) attorney who takes on Wile E. as a client in his lawsuit, only to discover that his boss at his former law firm (played by Cena) is representing Acme’.

James Gunn is producing the film, which will be directed by Dave Green, who has previously helmed Earth to Echo and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows. We’ll bring you more news on this fun-sounding project as we hear it.
