Zack Snyder fuels more extended Justice League cut talk

Another clue has landed regarding the Snyder Cut of Justice League.

The story of Justice League: a brief recap. Zack Snyder was directing the movie. In the aftermath of the release of Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice, Warner Bros wanted a shorter film. The studio ultimately ordered big changes following an early screening of Snyder’s Justice League cut. Snyder left the production, following the death of his daughter. Joss Whedon came in and reshot footage, with the final cut coming in at a studio-mandated two hours.

The final film had, er, problems.

Since its release, the online clamour for Zack Snyder’s own cut of the movie has grown. And a fan campaign – Release The Snyder Cut – has been keeping the drum banged. Just last month, Ben Affleck and Gal Gadot lent their support to the campaign on social media.

The question continues to be asked as to whether the Snyder Cut actually exists. As you might expect, Zack Snyder knows the answer to that. And on his Vero social media feed, he’s posted an image that seems to suggest a 214 minute running time of a longer Justice League cut. That’s nearly double the length of the version we got.

Here’s the image, that was picked up via fans on Instagram…

It now seems a case of when rather than if the cut is released, although Warner Bros continues to stay mum on the topic. We’ll keep you posted as we hear more, though…
