The fridge nuking of Indiana Jones & The Kingdom Of The Crystal Skull was almost a feature of the first Back To The Future film instead.

As it celebrates its 35th birthday, we’ve turned our attention to the mighty Back To The Future for our video film story this time around. In particular, the story that Steven Spielberg was really rather keen on his fridge nuking, an element that would become, well, a ridiculed feature of Indiana Jones & The Kingdom Of The Crystal Skull at the end of the 2000s.

In our latest video film story, then, we’re looking at a couple of instances where directors/producers have waited years, sometimes even decades to insert a story moment into a movie. And as we discuss, Back To The Future for one could have been really quite different…
